PyCon PL 2015 – short summary
Corridors, kilometers of the Ossa Hotel corridors were full of snakes in the last four days. Thrilling? No! Cool!
PyCon PL 2015: there were about 60 talks and workshops, about 550 attendees, 5 parallel tracks (2 fully in English), lighting talks, hard contests, 4 long days and 3 even longer nights of awesomeness. Yes, maybe I’m biased but I really enjoyed the conference.
It’s, in my opinion, a conference that every Python enthusiast (from Poland but not only) should have marked in his calendar. It’s affordable – you have a stay and 3 meals/day included in the ticket price. Then it gives you a lot of its goodies. Talks, of course, but it’s also a great opportunity to meet other developers and to have a lot of fun. Did I mention that there was even a board games session? There was – every night.
I personally also put value into the conference by having some contribution into the work of the Program Committee and by giving a talk titled “Life of a remote developer – technical perspective“. During the talk I discussed different, mainly technical, aspects of the software building process in a remote work context in particular (but not only).
There’s only one bad thing about the conference – that it’s already over.
Big thanks to the organizers and see you all next year!
